SEND

SEND information about our school.

We in Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Primary School are committed to ensuring that every pupil will fulfil their potential regardless of their specific need or personal circumstances.

We maintain the principles of fairness and equity across our entire curriculum, in all aspects of the school day and in after school activities.

Mrs Fish is our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator, (SENDCo,) and, along with class teachers, would be happy to discuss your child’s specific needs with you.

We engage with partner professionals, (eg. school nurse, speech and language therapists, educational psychologist, behaviour support team, as well as others,) to ensure that we fully understand a child’s needs and make the best provision for them.

Children with special needs follow an individual education plan and provision map which is agreed and reviewed with parents and carers. Where appropriate, some children have an Education, Health and Care Plan, which is developed in conjunction with parents and carers, partner professionals and the local authority.

Most of our school policies can be found on the website or available on request from the school office, please visit our policies page for a list.
